Colorado’s Firearms Safety Course Eligibility Card
Beginning August 1, 2026, all Colorado residents will be required to obtain a Firearms Safety Course Eligibility Card (FSCEC) in order to purchase any semi-automatic firearm. US Firearms Training Academy is authorized under CRS 18-12-203(1)(h)(I) to provide this training, the same statute that recognizes certified and law-enforcement-verified instructors for CHP instruction. We offer both the 4-hour and 12-hour FSCEC courses, covering firearm safety, secure storage, Colorado law, and responsible handling so students can meet all state requirements and obtain their Eligibility Card with confidence.
